Why Choose Kathy Gates as your Life Coach?
I recognize that you probably already know what you want to accomplish in life - although you may need a little clarity around it, you do "know" --

I CAN HELP!
I have learned over the years of both living and Coaching that it's not the person -- it's how that person uses his/her two best resources...

In my current work, I design and implement various programs for my clients based on specific needs. I work nationwide with individual clients, groups, and also hold regularly scheduled tele-classes.
My real life includes a large variety of interests. I very much enjoy coaching my clients on the fun aspects of life of which I believe strongly in.
As far as coaching, I have a linear aspect to my personality in that I like things to be honest and straightforward. I like working with a plan and getting into action. I believe that behavior is learned and can be unlearned or redirected in a more positive direction.
This is the cornerstone of my Life Coaching Techniques:
"Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it." (Maya Angelou)
I have been told that I have an ability to make complex issues and make an unusually creative approach to solving problems. My strengths make me a visionary. Even without trying, I come up with lots of new and creative ideas.
I also try to bring an atmosphere of fun and curiosity and creativity to my coaching sessions, and help my clients think outside of the box. You'll find that in my books as well as my one-one-one coaching.
One of my personal claims to fame has always been the number of dogs and cats that I have. Pets are a particular interest to me, their behavior, their care, and their relationship with people.
For many years we had eight four-footed creatures sharing our home, and at one time had as many as 12; but currently, my immediate family includes my husband Randy, two pup sisters, two kittens, and an 18 year old male cat who rules the roost!
We live in Scottsdale, Arizona. I also have quite a large extended family of brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, who are scattered out in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Nevada, and North Dakota.
Another one of my interests is working with
tile. I like working in a variety of venues
with tile, from mosaics to ceramics.
I have done many pieces for both inside and outside my home, for my own enjoyment, such as tabletops, wall hangings, benches, birdbaths, etc. I find the work relaxing and enjoyable. One of my values is to create, and this is one of the ways that I am able to honor that value.
Randy and I are also sports fans, especially
baseball, and we attend the professional games regularly.
We enjoy the competitive nature of the games, as well as discovering and
discussing the strategies that the coaches, managers, and players use. Often these can be translated into an everyday
life analogy, and they are invaluable in my coaching practice.
Honoring my value of to learn is
quite easy for me. I love to read just about
anything
from War and Peace to cereal
boxes. I also enjoy fiction by Tom
Clancy, Robert Ludlum, Stephen King, John Grisham, and Michael Creighton, to name a few. While taking an Anthropology class in college, I
also found that I enjoy ethnographies, such
as Nisa by Marjorie Shostak, and The Children of Sanchez by Oscar Lewis, and Guests of the Sheik by Elizabeth
Ferna.
My taste in music is even more varied than my
taste in books, if thats possible. Again,
I listen to a wide variety of types of music from country and western to classical.
I would like to know more about YOU and what you want to accomplish. I coach via telephone, one-on-one to a very limited group of people who are ready, willing, and able to put their life in fast forward.
If YOU are ready, willing, and able to put your life into fast forward, write me, and tell me why I should Coach You. You'll be glad you did.
